Chandra Nalaani has over 12 years of hands-on professional experience in web development — as a sole proprietor handling the full product life cycle for local businesses, as an in-house developer for both small start-up and large corporate teams, and as a more specialized consultant for agencies with clients such as Hilton, Autodesk, and Ubisoft Entertainment.

With degrees in both Web Media and Fine Art, she’s at home bringing designs to life through code. She wrote her first line of code in 1998 and has been a professional developer since 2004.

For two and a half years, she was a full time, in-house Web Developer for an educational software company called Teachscape. Behind the customer login is a platform containing over 700 online courses. She built many of those online courses, and was the only developer capable of also handling all internal marketing requests, including development of the public-facing site. Here’s what her direct supervisor said about her work there:

As a freelancer, she’s worked on a wide variety of projects for a wide variety of clients over the years, delivering pixel-perfect web and mobile experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and many other technologies as needed.

She’s built many completely custom desktop and mobile themes for WordPress powered sites, working with companies like MIGHTYminnow, and taking them from .PSD to full functionality. Here’s what the owner said about her work there:

She’s coded the front end of Facebook apps working with companies like North Social. Those were primarily limited-time promotional apps and contests for product launches like the Far Cry game launch, and the PLM 360 software launch. Here’s what the Senior Software Engineer she worked most closely with said about her work there:

The more tools you have in your toolbox, the easier it is to find the best solutions, solve problems creatively, and take on new challenges fearlessly. Having someone with the proven ability to adapt, transform and successfully apply skills they already have to a wide range of new situations and projects is invaluable. Like what you see and hear? Let’s build something.
