about

Web Developer, Web Designer, Artist. I make websites for small to medium-sized businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sometimes I’m also part of a larger team.
I built my first website in 1998 and have been hooked ever since—learning, experimenting, refining, then focusing on solid, continuous hands-on professional experience in Front End Web Design and Development. Most of my consulting clients have been start-ups, nonprofits, and small businesses focused on social consciousness or positive impact in some way—I like feeling good about what I do.
The more tools you have in your toolbox, the easier it is to find the best solutions, solve problems creatively, and take on new challenges fearlessly.
We are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t yet exist, using technologies that haven’t been invented, in order to solve problems we don’t even know are problems yet. —Karl Fisch, Shift Happens
I’m also a hybrid (generalist) in almost every sense of the word, at home in the space between art and technology, logic and creativity, the up-front and behind-the-scenes. I can design and code entire sites from scratch or build existing comps down to the pixel.
Today, having someone with the proven ability to adapt, transform and successfully apply skills they already have to a wide range of new situations and projects is invaluable. Like what you see? Hire me.
Aside from being an avid reader, lifelong learner and multimedia artist, I spend my free time making things, at the park with my dog, playing Texas Hold’em, and hanging out with good people.
