Site Revamp: New Shoes

It’s the hairdresser whose own hair is a mess, the carpenter whose own home is in need of repair, the web developer/designer whose own site hasn’t been fully updated in …?

The thing about being your own client is: you’re your own client—which means you’re essentially working on a never-ending project, and you get to make all the decisions, but you’re way too close to the product. The only thing to do about that is: let it go before you want to, knowing it’ll change.

Since the web has already changed in the time it took to write this sentence and another redesign is inevitable, the point is to keep moving closer to where you want to be.

Using WordPress as a Content Management System and all-around much better idea

My last portfolio was essentially built by hand, which is time-consuming and often unnecessary. After building many other WordPress-powered sites, and getting an in-depth look at exactly how amazing it is, I decided to switch. I wanted a lot of functionality fast, so here we are.
